Description.
Pigments and ink on silk, mounted on brocade silk. The composition shows two red-crowned cranes beneath a gnarled pine tree. On the right are large peony and lotus flowers, emblems of wealth and prestige. On the left side is the inscription 万历丁亥秋日周之冕写, next to a red seal ‘周氏服卿’. Zhou Zhimian (1521-?).
