Description.
Pigments and ink on silk, framed in brocade silk. The painting depicts a cluster of flowering stems accompanied by elongated leaves. Two beautiful butterflies flutter above the flowers. On the right is the inscription ‘庚辰小春摹元人写生法’, next to two red seals: “马荃” and ‘江香’. (Ma Quan, ca.?-1723).
