Description.
Ink and rich pigments on silk. It depicts the Great Lama, or tantric master, seated in a meditative posture on a lotus-shaped pedestal, dressed in a floral robe and a five-pointed crown adorned with images of the Buddha. His solemn face is framed by a large circular halo and auspicious clouds. The lower left corner features an inscription next to the signature “Prince Zhuang” (庄亲王) and an imperial seal in vermilion.
