Description.
Ink on vertical parchment (hanging scroll) on a silk brocade frame. Depicts a dynamic horse in motion. The vigorous, expressive style, characterized by loose strokes and a great sense of volume, is characteristic of the work of Xu Beihong (1895-1953). Stamped and signed in the left margin.
