Description.
Painting on paper depicting a courtly scene featuring a lady and a girl dressed in beautiful traditional robes in a garden surrounded by stylized rock formations, flowering branches, and an elegant traditional-style red fence. The scene is executed with great contour precision, using a delicate pastel palette. The calligraphic inscription in the upper left corner reads "壬午夏五月花野渔父朱梅邨" alongside a red seal "朱梅邨印." Zhu Meicun was a painter active in the 20th century, renowned for his elegant compositions featuring female figures and idealized landscapes in the gongbi style.
