Description.
Painting executed in ink and pigments on silk, mounted in a brocade silk frame. The scene depicts a pair of mandarin ducks at the base of a plum tree in bloom, among rocks and bushes. It bears an inscription in the upper left corner, ‘嘉靖十二年癸已冬月写于西畹斋包山陆治’, wirh two red seals, “陆治之印” and ‘叔平’ . Lu Zhi (1496–1576).
