Chinese shoushan stone figure 'Luohan', Qing dynasty

Exquisitely carved in rich caramel-brown shoushan stone, in the form of a seated luohan leaning on rocks in a relaxed position, holding a palm-leaf fan in his right hand. His face shows an expression of serenity and happiness and his corpulent body is wrapped in a long monastic robe that opens at the chest, revealing his long beard depicted in fine, precise strokes as well as his face. On the back of the figure we find a beautiful rock carving, which shows on its right side a signature with two characters "尚均".
Box made to a size already handmade, possibly Japanese, to hold precious Shoushan stone figure.
