Description.
Celadon-green jade, exhibiting marked discolouration in reddish-brown tones. It depicts, in a stylised manner, a cicada or chrysalis. It features grooved transverse incisions that define the segmentation of the body on the dorsal side, as well as fine incised reticulation on the underside. Hongshan culture (c. 4700–2900 BC) or later.
