Description.
Circular-based carved jade seal. It is adorned with a coiled chilong, with its head and tail intertwined and stylized mane with scroll details. The jade is creamy white, with a reddish-brown and ochre patina. The matrix shows traces of red sealing wax, with the inscription ‘继德堂宝’. Qing dynasty (1644–1912).
