Description.
Double carved jade seal, consisting of two square blocks joined by a sculptural finial. It features a finial in the shape of a coiled chilong dragon, with a curved body and finely sculpted face and mane. The base jade is milky white and shiny with dark brown veins. The matrix bears the engraved inscriptions “八徵耄念,自强不息”. Qing dynasty (1644–1912).
