Description.
Mother-of-pearl and knitted lace fan. Notable for its openwork frame and decorative tassel. Decorated with a pastoral scene depicting a woman with a child in a meadow; surrounded by lace and gold with plant motifs. Signed ‘E. Guillot’ in the lower left-hand corner. Displayed in a gilded fan case. Inscription on the reverse of the frame: ‘310’ and "845 mother-of-pearl goldfish needle-point lace pre-cured ribs.
