Description.
The Claude de France prayer book is an exuberantly decorated book in a tiny format of only 49 by 69 millimetres. It was created in Tours around 1517 and was made by the so-called Master of Claude de France. The work became famous for its incredible wealth of images made up of artistic and detailed miniatures, showing 132 biblical scenes from the life of Christ and Mary, as well as the apostles and other saints on 104 pages. Unique edition limited to 980 copies, this copy is numbered 228. Black leather case or similar and inside the miniature book and a sheathed magnifying glass.
