‘Famille Rose’ porcelain vase, with Qianglong mark

A porcelain vase with an elongated ovoid body, a narrow neck and an everted rim, resting on a base modelled on a traditional wooden stand. The piece features lavish decoration in ‘pink family’ polychrome glazes on a white background, with a design of large lotus flowers surrounded by foliage scrolls, infinity knots, peaches and bats. Two sculptural handles in the shape of Buddhist lion heads with fixed rings stand out on the shoulder. The base bears a six-character mark in the centre: ‘大清乾隆年制’.  or later.
