Description.
A paper fan with bone ribs, featuring a delicate hand-painted design depicting a romantic scene of classical inspiration. The ribs, with an openwork design, are adorned with silver accents. Presented in a period protective fan case with a brick-red fabric lining. Inscribed with “orni de et romaud” in the lower right corner (next to the figure’s foot). Shows wear on the paint layer due to age and use.
