Description.
A porcelain vase with a globular body, pronounced shoulders and a slender flaring neck, ending in a slightly reverted mouth. It has two semicircular moulded handles decorated in pastel shades of green and pink. The body is richly ornamented with a scene painted in fencai enamels, typical of the pink family, showing a dense cluster of long-leaved wild orchids, with flowers in shades of cream and pink, emerging from a blue rock. On the neck is a poetic inscription in black calligraphic characters, accompanied by three red seals. At the base is a stamp ‘乾隆年制’, in blue. Republic of China (1912-1949) or later.
