Description.
Bronze figure with traces of fire gilding and polychromy, representing the six-armed protective deity Mahakala. It is presented in an energetic warrior dance posture, trampling on a figure symbolizing obstacles on a lotus throne. With his wrathful three-eyed face and skull crown, he holds various tantric attributes in his six arms. The piece, which is highly expressive, has an unsealed base.
