Description.
Gilt bronze sculpture depicting Begtse Chen, a patron deity of Tibetan Buddhism. He is shown with a fierce expression, a furrowed brow, bulging eyes, and a half-open mouth revealing fangs. He has three eyes and a flame-shaped beard. He wears elaborately crafted armour with incised motifs and embroidered details, and a Mongolian hat with a long ribbon on top. He rides a dynamic-looking wild goat on a base shaped like stylized waves or mountains, on which are arranged ritual attributes (vajra, kartika knife, skull, among others), elements characteristic of the figure's protective role.
