Description.
Gilt bronze sculpture depicting Sarasvati, the Hindu goddess of knowledge, wisdom, the arts, and music. She is shown seated in a relaxed posture, with one leg dangling and the other bent, holding a vina, a stringed instrument that is her main attribute, in both hands. The morphology reveals an idealized female figure, with a serene face and slender body, her torso bare, adorned with bracelets, a necklace, and circular earrings. The face features almond-shaped eyes, arched eyebrows, and an introspective expression. Her high hairstyle is gathered in a bun adorned with a diadem and tiara, preserving traces of black pigment. The sculpture has a natural patina.
