Description.
Gilt bronze sculpture depicting Tara, a female deity of Tibetan Buddhism, standing on a double lotus base. She presents a slightly tilted posture, with her left leg resting and her right leg straight. Her right hand is extended downward in varada mudra, while her left hand is raised in vitarka mudra, simultaneously holding the stem of a lotus flower, or utpala, which opens at her shoulder. She wears a richly decorated skirt, body ornaments such as a necklace, bracelets, and earrings, as well as an elaborate crown with floral motifs. Her face, serene and with delicate features, conveys a compassionate expression.
