Glazed “Bull's Blood” bowl, Qing dynasty

Description.

A fine porcelain bowl with a thin-walled body, curved profile and slightly open mouth. The exterior is covered with a deep-red monochrome glaze, known as “oxblood”, with slight variations in tone and a characteristic marbled effect. The interior remains undecorated, glazed in white. The unmarked base has an unglazed ring on the foot. Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) or later.
