Glazed ceramic bowl, Dangyangyu kiln, Song style

A fine ceramic bowl with a white glaze and dark-veined decoration, achieved by the spiral slip-pouring technique. The design is reminiscent of a motif of stylised feathers or spikes, distributed radially on both the inside and outside of the piece. The shape is hemispherical with a slightly open rim and sits on a ring-shaped foot. This decorative technique is characteristic of Dangyangyu kiln production.
