Description.
Black-glazed ceramic bowl with hare’s fur decoration, characteristic of the Jian kilns from the Song period. The interior and exterior are covered with a thick, lustrous glaze featuring vertical streaks in metallic brown over a dark ground. Unglazed base with a circular foot and firing marks.
