Description.
Sculptural and organic brush pot, modelled like a beast or Bixi coiled around itself to form an elegant openwork handle. It is decorated with sky blue enamel highlighted by underglaze carmine spots, a technique known as youlihong. Qing dynasty (1644-1912) or later.
