Description.
Cobalt blue glazed porcelain on a white underglaze background. It has a rectangular structure with a bulging belly and softened corners, resting on four short, lobed and subtly curved legs. The narrow rim has two rectangular handles with hollow interiors. The surface is profusely decorated with imperial dragons chasing the flaming pearl among clouds and flames. The composition adapts to the sides of the vessel. The base bears a six-character mark ‘大明万历年制’.
