Description.
A porcelain vase with a globular body and a short neck ending in a lobed mouth with six petals imitating the morphology of a pomegranate. The piece is covered with a celadon-green glaze, decorated with pomegranate branches in “famille verte” coloured enamels. The branches extend around the body, showing open pomegranate fruits in shades of orange, together with green leaves and flowers in various stages of blossom. The base has a six-character seal in underglaze blue “大清乾隆年制” in the centre. Qing dynasty (1644-1912) or later.
