Glazed porcelain vase, ‘Sage’, 20th century

Porcelain modelled in the shape of an ovoid vase with rounded shoulders and a short tubular neck. It is decorated with cobalt blue enamels depicting a scene of a sage in a natural setting, dressed in long traditional robes and carrying a long branch in his hands. On the base, there is a six-character mark ‘愿闻吾过之斋’ in blue underglaze.
