Description.
Large ring, crafted in gold-plated metal with a shiny finish. It features a robust and symmetrical design holding a spherical yellow jade stone, polished to a smooth surface that highlights the natural veins and patinas in ivory and ochre tones. The sides of the setting are decorated with openwork in the form of stylized shòu (壽) characters intertwined in geometric patterns. This ideogram, a traditional symbol of longevity in Chinese culture, suggests that the piece was intended as an amulet or auspicious gift.
