An exceptional three-piece tea service in the Modernist style, comprising: an electric kettle, a sugar bowl with lid and a milk jug. Crafted from brass with an elegant hammered finish featuring a regular longitudinal pattern. The kettle features its iconic arched top handle, covered with strands of natural woven wicker, whilst retaining the original electrical connections at the rear base.
This set embodies the famous modular design that the pioneering master Peter Behrens (1868–1940) originally conceived in 1909 for the firm AEG. This edition was produced in Switzerland by the prestigious electrical appliance firm Therma, as evidenced by the stamped mark bearing the brand’s monogram (a ‘T’ within a shield) on the reverse of the jug, as well as the technical inscriptions and factory serial numbers engraved on the base of the kettle.
