Description.
A circular box with a lid, made of white jade with a translucent finish. The lid is decorated with a large incised “Shou” character in the centre, framed by a linear fretwork. The rim of the body also has a decorative border of incised fretwork. The interior of the box is smooth, polished and has a slightly concave surface. The tone of the jade is even, with warm, off-white tones. Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) or later.
