Description.
A finely carved rectangular plaque in white jade from Hetian, with gently rounded edges. The obverse side features a scene of human figures crossing a bridge and performing other tasks, mountains in the background, a pagoda and a boat on the water, all engraved in great detail. At the top is a decorative frieze with ruyi motifs and auspicious scrolls, which incorporates a hanging hole. The reverse is engraved with calligraphy. It comes in a custom-made lined box. Qing dynasty (1644-1912) or later.
