Description.
Hetian jade vessel in a creamy white hue with subtle ochre veins. The piece is rectangular, with thick walls that widen towards the mouth. It is covered with an irregular pattern, similar to snakeskin, and surrounded by a high relief carving of multiple lingzhi mushrooms and two small monkeys climbing on the rim. On one side is a panel with an engraved calligraphic inscription accompanied by two seals. Qing dynasty (1644–1911).
