Description.
White jade. It features a rounded relief carving that takes advantage of a thick natural layer of ochre and rust tones. The composition incorporates large lotus leaves with veins and wavy edges. Among the vegetation and lotus buds, birds are distinguished by fine incised lines. The work shows a patina due to ageing. Qing dynasty (1644–1912).
