Description.
Hetian white jade pendant with a silky polish. It features a figure of the deity Tara, seated in the lotus position on a floral base. The figure, with a serene expression, is adorned with jewellery and traditional clothing, wearing a tall crown and carrying lotus flowers on her shoulders and hands. The piece is enhanced by a 14k yellow gold setting, which frames the figure and extends into an upper ring profusely ornamented with brilliant-cut diamonds. Qing dynasty (1644–1911).
