Description.
Square-shaped seal carved from off-white jade. It features a sculptural finish in the shape of a dragon turtle. The head is tilted and the shell is detailed with incisions. The jade features a colour combination of white, ochre and grey tones. The matrix bears the inscription ‘受孔子戒’ and traces of sealing wax. Ming dynasty (1368-1644).
