Description.
Hetian jade carved in the shape of a reclining turtle, with a geometric shell and tucked legs, set on a square base. The piece is cream-coloured with natural brown veins. The incised seal ‘倚竹不胜愁’ is found on the underside. Qing dynasty (1644–1912).
