Description.
High-purity white Hetian jade. The piece has an elongated shape representing a smiling child in a dynamic pose, holding a large string of traditional coins above his head and back. The work stands out for the use of a reddish-ochre patina covering the upper part of the piece. Qing dynasty (1644–1912).
