Description.
Pure white Hetian jade plaque, rectangular and flat, with scalloped edges. The decoration features a bas-relief carving reminiscent of the iconography of archaic bronzes. The surface is covered with a pattern of stylized Taotie masks, scrolls and fretwork, with a ‘Shou’ (longevity) medallion. With custom-lined box. Qing dynasty (1644–1912).
