Description.
Small teapot with a globular body, made of white Hetian jade, with a circular handle and fitted lid. The surface is covered with calligraphic inscriptions and the base bears the incised seal “”乾隆御制”. The phrase “箇中自有玉壶冰” is also inscribed on the bottom, alluding to transparency and moral rectitude. Comes with a custom-made box.
