Description.
Carved jade vase, creamy white and translucent. The piece is rectangular, widening at the shoulders, flanked by openwork handles in the shape of mythical birds, followed by a flared neck, crowned by a stepped lid topped with a knob. It is adorned with a composition of craggy rocks among which elegant chilong dragons with sturdy limbs crawl. It is complemented by a carved wooden base. Qing dynasty (1644–1911).
