Description.
A finely carved bi-shaped Hetian yellow jade disc, decorated on both sides. The obverse features an intricate openwork relief of intertwined dragons, a symbol of power and nobility, carved in a dynamic pose with great detail in the mane and claws. The reverse features a low-relief symmetrical scroll design, balancing the composition with an auspicious motif. The jade's hue varies between warm shades of honey yellow and more translucent areas, with a polished finish that highlights the quality of the material. It comes with a bespoke presentation box covered in red fabric. Qing Dynasty (1644–1912) or later.
