Description.
Carved and ebonised wood, with bronze fittings. It is divided into three sections: the two side sections each have eight drawers, whilst the central section, which protrudes slightly, is divided into two tiers. The whole piece is decorated with imitation tortoiseshell and gilded bronze. The lower tier features a semicircular niche, flanked by Tuscan columns, which houses a female figure cast in bronze. A cornice with brass inlays separates the two levels. The second level is decorated with metal elements inspired by nature. The piece is topped by a cornice featuring a balustrade with plant and zoomorphic motifs, crowned by six balls with eagles and two frontal human figures.
