Description.
Acrylic on canvas. Silva employs a strongly structured composition based on diagonal lines and fragmented forms that subtly evoke late Cubism and Futurism, accentuating the violence and drama of the moment. The subdued, mineral-like palette features shades of gray, ochre, earth tones, and off-white. Small yellow linear accents outline the geometric surfaces of the base, while the loose, smudged brushstrokes lend a vibrant texture to the entire surface of the canvas. Signed and dated “Horacio Silva/87” in the lower right corner. Signed and titled on the reverse.
