"Hulu" porcelain vase with celadon glaze, Qianlong mark

Glazed porcelain vase in a delicate celadon hue, with a double globular shape representing the hulu gourd or "gourd." This double-bulbed shape, with a wider lower body and a narrower upper body, is characteristic of vessels that evoke auspicious talismans. The surface of the vase is richly decorated with a pattern of vine leaves and gourds, executed with great delicacy and precision. The curved stems and meandering tendrils run fluidly across the surface, creating a dynamic and elegant effect. The smooth and lustrous celadon glaze highlights the reliefs beneath a bright, even patina. This technique reflects the influence of reinterpreted Longquan pieces. On the base, there is a raised seal bearing the inscription "大清乾隆年制".
