Description.
First edition copy of the immortal children's novel Peter and Wendy by Scottish author J. M. Barrie. Published by Hodder & Stoughton, London, 1911, this volume features a striking olive green cloth binding with profuse gilt decoration. The book is illustrated by F. D. Bedford, whose black and white plates complement the narrative. Printed by T. and A. Constable at the University of Edinburgh Press. On the reverse side is a label from ‘The Times (Book Club) / LONDON’ and handwritten notes documenting its provenance.
