Sculpture carved in two-coloured jade, in whitish tones with veins and areas of oxidation in ochre tones, depicting a mountainous landscape scene. The composition is organised in several superimposed planes: in the foreground, a small covered boat with three figures on board is seen sailing on a pond; a fourth figure, standing in front, seems to be guiding the boat with a stick or pole, generating dynamism in the scene. Around the boat, openwork rock formations rise up, between which open paths and bridges where other human figures, probably scholars, appear in a contemplative attitude; all of this is surrounded by stylised pine trees intertwined with the mountain ledges. The upper part of the ensemble features an architectural structure, possibly a temple, which reinforces the idea of spiritual retreat and harmony with nature. The whole scene is finely integrated into the original form of the stone, respecting its natural volume.
The piece rests on a dark wooden base, richly carved in relief with wave motifs and rock formations that continue the image of the jad. Qing dynasty (1644-1912) or later.
