Description.
A small censer lid finely carved in brownish-beige jade with natural dark veins. The composition depicts a rocky landscape perforated with grottoes, with two delicate deer in a serene pose. In the upper and lateral parts, the presence of large, meticulously detailed vine leaves stands out. The carving exhibits remarkable fretwork, allowing one to see through the natural orifices that evoke rock formations. The base is plain and uninscribed. Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) or later.
