Description.
Jade amulet or pendant in the shape of a large stylised cicada. It displays deep brown and reddish tones. The surface is finely engraved with a dense pattern of scrolls across the entire body, defining two large circular eyes. The wings are decorated with parallel incised lines. It has a small hole at the top for hanging. Liangzhu culture (c. 3300–2200 BC) or later.
