Description.
Ritual sculpture carved from jade. It depicts an enigmatic anthropomorphic deity crouching with hands on knees and a head crowned by two prominent vertical horns. The jade is white-celadon in color with natural black and dark brown veins. The surface has a smooth, rounded polish. Hongshan culture (c. 4700-2900 BC). or later.
