Compact jade sculpture depicting a bird in a schematic style, emphasising its smooth, rounded silhouette, with outstretched wings and head tucked in. The material has a greyish-green base tone, enriched by areas of brown patina. Hongshan culture (c. 4700-2900 BC). or later.
