Description.
Sculpture carved from white jade. It depicts a deer in a reclining position, with its legs folded under its body. The head is held upright, highlighting the stylized antlers, with a jagged and sinuous profile. The body is adorned with curved incised lines that define the animal's volume and musculature. It shows areas of natural patina alteration in golden tones. Zhou dynasty (c. 1046-256 BC).
